Bat for Lashes has been nominated for a MTV 2009 Video Music Award in the ‘ Breakthrough Video ’ Category for ‘ Daniel ’, the first single taken from the album ‘Two Suns’. The award is decided by a public vote so it would mean a great deal if you could take a trip over to the MTV Video Music Awards site to vote.

For all those who missed it you can watch the live Bat for Lashes session that was broadcast yesterday on the KCRW show Morning Becomes Eclectic . It contains live performances of seven songs from ‘ Two Suns ’ and an interview too. It’s a 30 Min show so be prepared to stay around.

Bat For Lashes - “Pearl’s Dream”
The new Bat for Lashes single ‘ Pearl’s Dream ’, the second to be taken from the album “Two Suns”, will be out in the UK on June 22nd and will be available to buy on 7” vinyl and digital download . For the B-side of the single David Sitek has remixed the album track ‘Sleep Alone’ under the pseudonym 909 . The digital release will include two live tracks from a recent Bat for Lashes show at Shepherds Bush Empire, ‘ Good Love ’ and ‘ Siren Song ’

We’ve heard the incredible news that the Bat for Lashes album ‘Two Suns’ has debuted in the UK Album Charts at number 5! Natasha wants to send a heart felt thanks for all the support. Thanks to both all the newcomers to her music and to all those who’ve been there since the early days for going out and getting themselves a copy of the album.
